I just finished a 45 or 50 minute walk. It is 6:00 AM and I need to get ready for work. However I listened to a couple of Isagenix podcasts while walking and felt inspired to post my thoughts here about them. I was very hesitant to join Isagenix at first because I had failed at another MLM company that had a great product as well. I already knew that Isagenix was a great nutritional product so that part was not a stumbling block for me, it was an encouragement. I joined simply because I wanted the product so that I could enjoy the benefits that a true organic, quality, pure nutritional product and plan could provide me. However when it came to the business side I was not interested at first. Then I saw the payment plan for associates. Now granted, I still have not received a solid education on this plan but I knew right away that it would work much better than what I was doing prior at my old MLM company. That sparked my interest a bit more. I signed up myself and then ended up signing up Emily right below me and I got paid a week later! Not much but hey that was great. Yet I still have had some reservations about approaching people about this. One being that I do not want to alienate people that I care about from my life. We have all seen those people that are so intense that we end up avoiding them because we just don't want to talk about it with them. There are also those people who are so full of themselves that they make you feel somewhat inferior because you did not make the smart decision that they did in joining their group. I will not be one of those people.
So getting back to the podcasts I listened to on my walk. I listened to a couple that were already in the health and fitness industry talk about their experiences. They had many great things to say but something that I attached myself to was the when the wife said that she didn't want to sell anything to anyone. She wanted to help people by sharing what she has found. She and her husband then go one talking about those that they have helped. I have heard this sentiment before on podcasts and CDs and this is what I really want to do. I really just want to help people. I want to get away from thinking about myself so much and get into thinking about others. It does not have to be simply with Isagenix products but with anything I can. I really think that with that attitude I will attract people to me that need what I have to offer. So that is what I will focus on, helping and sharing.
We noticed that our good friends Kim and Scott, who shared Isagenix with us had brought someone else into the business last night. They are great people and Kim is really determined to succeed. I said to Emily that she is on fire and asked something like "how does she do it?" Emily said "she opens her mouth." Very simple but true. She does not overwhelm people but she listens, she's sincere, she shares Isagenix and her success, and she is enthusiastic. We need a little more of that in our approach. It is wonderful to know as well that we have someone like this in our upline. She is someone we can trust to help us and help those that choose Isagenix with us, whether it be for health or business or both.
So those are my thoughts this morning. And by the way I am feeling great and am getting some awesome health benefits on this product. I am excited for the future and Emily and I will succeed at this. We just have to help people and share what we know!
